In accordance with the Decree on measures to regulate the legal status of foreign citizens and stateless persons in Russia in connection with the threat of COVID-19 distribution, from March 15 to June 15, 2020, the validity of patents and other permits of foreign citizens will be temporarily suspended. For example, the patent validity date 10.06.2020. The number of days from March 15 to June 10 is 87 days. Accordingly, actual patent expiration date: June 16 + 87 days = 11.09.2020. Until this date, the patent will be valid and no payments need to be made. At the same time, to extend the validity of the patent after 11.09.2020, you need to make another payment no later than 11.09.2020 (or better, a few days before this date, so that the Bank payment has time to pass). It should also be noted that the total term of validity of a foreign employee's patent, including all extensions, cannot exceed one calendar year from the date of grant of the patent (clause 5 of article 13.3 of the Federal Law № 115-FZ Law of 25.07.2002). |
