The Committee on Migration and Tourism of the American Chamber of Commerce, headed by Co-Chair Sophia Batura, held a scheduled meeting on the topic “Legal Basis and Practice for the Medical Check-Up Process of HQS”
Confidence Group initiated the creation of the Committee on Migration and Tourism in the American Chamber of Commerce. The Committee aims to provide support to companies and individuals in becoming familiar with the migration rules and regulations in Russia and to address issues affecting the tourism industry. Sophia Batura, Russian expert in migration law and Deputy General Director of Confidence Group company, became the Co-Chair of the AmCham Committee.
At the end of 2022, not only formal approvals took place, but also the first meeting of the Committee related to the registration of foreign hotels in Russia.

We are pleased to inform you that on February 27, 2023, the fully functional work of the Committee on Migration and Tourism started, and a meeting was held on the topic " Discrepancies between the legal interpretation and the practice of medical check-ups of HQS (highly qualified foreign specialists)".
The meeting of the combined format (online/offline) was attended by participants – members of the American Chamber of Commerce, interested in discussing migration issues. The main trigger topics were repeated medical check-ups for foreign HQSs, the details of issuing multiple invitations to Russia, and the cancellation of permits for foreign employees of Russian companies who are outside Russia due to business needs.
