On October 1, Belarus has changed notification rules of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus about temporarily staying foreign citizens. The host party must notify the Ministry of Internal Affairs on arriving of foreign citizen within 3 hours after his arrival.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus reported that on October 1, 2017, amendments to the Law of the Republic of Belarus as of January 4, 2010 «On legal status of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Republic of Belarus», introduced by the Law of the Republic of Belarus as of July 20, 2016 «On Amendments and amendments to some laws of the Republic of Belarus on forced migration issues» came into force.
For this reason, the procedure of notification of the Ministry of Internal Affairs by hotels, sanatorium, health resorts, agro-ecotourism entities, legal entities and individual entrepreneurs, rendering services for the rental of houses on arrival to Belarus of foreign citizens has been changed.
Since October 1, 2017, such information should be transmitted through the informational resources (systems) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus or a single portal for electronic services of the national automated information system, or hand-delivered within three hours after the provision of residential accommodation for temporarily staying foreign citizens.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus also clarified the questions about the procedure, terms and methods of notification procedure.
