A new decree of the Italian Republic introduced a number of new restrictions in connection with the spread of the omicron strain, so at the moment the Super Green Pass (vaccination certificate or EU disease certificate) is required to visit:
- hotels;
- any type of public transport;
- fairs, holidays, public ceremonies;
- museums and exhibitions;
- restaurants, cafes and bars (also outdoors);
- ski resorts (when using lifts);
- cinema and theaters;
- gyms, swimming pools, thermal and spa centers (also outdoors);
- sports events and stadiums;
- cultural and educational centers;
- amusement parks.
Moreover, the validity of the Super Green Pass has been reduced from 12 months to 9 months, and from February 1, 2022, it will be reduced again to 6 months.
In addition, the changes affected the mask mode. Until January 31, 2022, it is mandatory to wear masks in the fresh air, and until March 31, 2022, attendance at performances, cinema, concerts, sporting events, all types of public transport is possible only when using an FFP2 type mask.
