On January 23, 2020, the State Duma adopted in first reading bill No. 822704-7 on simplifying the procedure for obtaining and increasing the validity of multiple visas for foreign citizens - workers of enterprises of territories of priority social and economic development and the free port of Vladivostok.
This bill provides for amendments to Articles 25 and 25-6 of the Federal Law "On the procedure for exiting the Russian Federation and entry into the Russian Federation" and Articles 5 and 16 of the Federal Law "On the legal status of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation".
The bill provides that a visa for a period of up to three years can be obtained by foreign citizens who conclude an employment contract with a resident of the Advanced Development Territory or the Free Port of Vladivostok - one of the Far Eastern regimes with special conditions for investors.
The bill also provides for the possibility of issuing multiple visas for representatives of companies that have entered into an investment agreement with a resident of the Advanced Development Territory or Free Port of Vladivostok or are in negotiations about it.
