On November 24, 2017, the State Duma has ratified the intergovernmental agreement between Russia and Uzbekistan on the organized recruitment and involvement of citizens of Uzbekistan for temporary employment in Russia.
This agreement is aimed at ensuring the targeted employment in Russia of citizens of Uzbekistan and provides their preparation on the territory of Uzbekistan for a trip to Russia. The agreement regulates the processing of documents confirming the right to work in Russia, health monitoring of migrants, checking for wanted items, having an unpaid or unexpunged criminal record, providing for travel to and from work in Russia and back to Uzbekistan.
