Sakhalin region Governor imposes ban for foreign citizens to work in a number of activities based on patent
On February 20, 2017, the Governor of the Sakhalin Region adopted the Resolution of the Governor of the Sakhalin Region N 5 as of February 20, 2017 "On establishment in 2017 of a ban on hiring of foreign citizens working based on patent in a certain types of economic activity by the economic entities operating in the territory of the Sakhalin Region".
The Resolution provides an appropriate list of economic activities.
The time period for the economic entities to reduce the number of foreign workers used by them in accordance with the established ban is the expiry date for patents issued in the Sakhalin Region before the effective date of this decree.
