On March 30, 2018 Consulate General of the United States in St. Petersburg at the address. Furshtatskaya, 15 has stopped working under the decision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia. Closure of the Consulate General is Moscow's response to the expulsion of Russian diplomats from the United States and closure of the Russian Consulate General in Seattle. Consulate General of Russia in New York and Houston continue work in the United States; and the US Consulate General in Yekaterinburg and Vladivostok continue work in Russia.
