On December 17, 2015 the Federal Law N375 as of 12.14.2015 "On Amendments to Articles 11 and 18 of the Federal Law "On the Procedure for Exit from Russia and Entry to Russia" came into force. The changes affected obtaining the second passport for Russian citizens.
Now the second passport is issued with the electronic media, for a period of 10 years, for all categories of Russian citizens, disregarding the age, place of work and duration of the first passport.
