Since the beginning of 2016, in migration registration and visa department of Federal Migration Service of Russia (Pokrovka Str., 42) the documents on exit visas for the newly born on the territory of Russia child - foreign nationals, are only accepted from a parent or legal representative in person.
It is obligatory to present the original birth certificate, parent’s original passport, the original visa, parent’s original document on migration registration when submitting the relevant documents.
This measure is intended to prevent the illegal export of children born in Russia abroad, as well as the trade of human organs.
