From February 6, 2022, the changes approved by the Decree of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation dated February 2, 2022 No. 4 come into force.
Now, in case of contact with patients with COVID-19, isolation should not be observed (clause 3.8 of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Rules SP 3.1.3597-20 "Prevention of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19)" is declared invalid), and isolation and sick leave for patients with COVID -19 after a positive test will be only 7 days (clause 3.7 of the Rules).
However, if the patient still feels unwell after 7 days, the sick leave can be extended for another 7 days.
Please note that clause 6.1 of the Decree of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation dated March 30, 2020 N 9, regarding mandatory isolation for foreign citizens who arrived for the purpose of carrying out work, continues to operate as before.
