Starting from May 3, 2018 the MIA of Russia in Moscow might not accept the documents for visa renewal for foreign citizens in case the period of current visa validity is less than 20 working days.
Such an opportunity existed before for exceptional cases and only under the decision of the head of MIA visa department.
To the moment the only opportunity is to get the new invitation letter and apply for visa at the Russian Consulate abroad.
We suppose the new "old" regulation will be lasting up to the end of the World Football Cup 2018. In the light of this Confidence Group strongly recommends to apply for visa renewal beforehand.
Let us also inform you that comparing with the Football Confederation Cup 2017 period, applications for invitation letters for foreign citizens within non-standard terms (fast procedure), which are accepted in exceptional cases will not also be processed during the World Football Cup 2018. Please apply for invitation letters beforehand.
