June 30, 2018 the Federal law as of December 31, 2017 N 498-FZ on introduction of amendments to the legislation in the part of conducting state fingerprinting registration of foreign citizens in Russia came into force.
This Federal law provides that state fingerprinting registration shall be conducted with respect to the citizens of Russia, foreign citizens and stateless persons who have reached the age of six years. The issues of carrying out voluntary fingerprinting registration have been settled. Mandatory fingerprinting is subject to foreign citizens and stateless persons who applied for temporary residence permits in Russia or applications for issuance of a residence permit without the issuance of permits for temporary residence in Russia.
