Following our news, we inform you that the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin has signed the order expanding the list of checkpoints for entering Russia with an electronic visa. The document was published on the 22nd of January, 2021 at the official Internet portal of legal information.
According to the document, automobile checkpoints are supplemented by Bagrationovsky, the towns of Pogranichny and Chernyshevskoye in the Kaliningrad region, the town of Vyartsilya in Karelia, the customs points of Kunichina Gora and Shumilkino in the Pskov region.
In addition, the airports Khrabrovo in Kaliningrad and Novy in Khabarovsk were added to the air checkpoints. It will be possible to enter the territory of the Russian Federation with an electronic visa through sea checkpoints in Kaliningrad and Svetly, as well as in Sochi (through the International Center for Sea Passenger and Cruise Transportation). The list of mixed checkpoints is supplemented by Blagoveshchensk (by river ferry in summer, by automobile in winter).
At the current moment, the issuance of electronic visas has been suspended due to the pandemic.
