On August 12, 2019, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia introduced a draft law “On amending article 25.6 of the Federal Law “On the procedure for exiting and entering Russia”, which increases the length of stay of foreign citizens in Russia on a regular tourist visa, which can be issued by hotel’s reservation, up to six months.
The draft law is aimed at the development of tourism in Russia. If the draft law is adopted, it will enter into force in April 2020.
