The Ministry of Economic Development proposed to the Government of Russia to reduce the number of medical examinations for foreign top managers upon entering Russia to once during the entire period of validity of a work permit. In this case, a second medical examination will need to be completed no earlier than three years later. However, there is no information yet whether this proposal was supported by the Government of Russia and the Ministry of Health.
In addition, the ministry has also prepared an initiative that proposes to increase the validity of medical documents for all foreign citizens from three months to one year. Unlike the first proposal, such an amendment has already been made to the Order of the Ministry of Health of Russia dated November 19, 2021 N 1079n, which will enter into force on March 01, 2022.
