On May 11, 2021 Order of the Ministry of Labour of the Russian Federation of 06.04.2021 No 220n came into force. The Order amends Order of the Ministry of Labour of the Russian Federation of 10.12.2021 No 878n and specifies the quotas for issuing work permits and entry invitations for labour activities to foreign citizens arriving in Russia on a visa basis for the year 2021.
In particular, the quotas for work permits have changed significantly in the following regions:
- Republic of Karelia – increased from 0 to 5;
- St. Petersburg – increased from 2,287 to 2,319;
- Sevastopol – increased from 0 to 241;
- Karachay-Cherkess Republic – increased from 0 to 22;
- Omsk Oblast – increased from 2,289 to 3,804;
- Sakhalin Oblast – increased from 436 to 490.
The quota reserve of the Russian Federation has been reduced from 10,188 to 8,279.
Similar changes have been made in the allocation of quotas for invitations to enter the Russian Federation for labour activities.
