The Ministry of Labor revised the distribution of quotas for issuing invitations and work permits between regions

On July 21, 2023, the Order of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Russia No. 538n dated June 22, 2023 was published, which amends the order of the Ministry of Labor No. 777n dated December 12, 2022 and clarifies the distribution of quotas for the issuance of foreign citizens arriving in Russia on the basis of a visa, work permits and invitations to enter Russia in order to carry out labor activities for 2023.

In particular, work permit quotas have changed in a number of regions as follows:

- Moscow - from 3898 to 4219

- Moscow region - from 8759 to 11730

- St. Petersburg - from 3012 to 3450

- Leningrad region - in 18907 to 18927

Quota reserve for whole Russia is reduced from 17901 to 10355.
