In addition to the previously published news, let us inform you that the draft law of the Russian Internal Ministry on amending the Federal Law "On migration registration of foreign citizens in Russia" was changed, and new definitions were proposed for some concepts:
- place of stay of a foreign citizen in Russia - a hotel or other organization that provides hotel services, a sanatorium, a rest home, a boarding house, a children's health camp, a tourist base, a campsite, a medical organization that provides medical assistance in a hospital setting, or a social service organization that provides social services, also for persons without a fixed place of residence, an institution that performs criminal or administrative punishment, or housing (is not a place of residence) in which a foreign citizen is temporarily resident or an organization in which a foreign citizen in the prescribed manner carries out labor or other activities not prohibited by the legislation of Russia;
- host party for a foreign citizen in the Russia - is a citizen of Russia or a foreign citizen permanently residing in Russia (a stateless person) were foreign citizen actually resides, or a legal entity, branch or representative office of a legal entity, a federal public authority, a body of state power of a constituent entity of Russia, a local government body, a diplomatic mission or consular office of a foreign state in Russia, an international organization or its organization representation in Russia or a representative office of a foreign state with an international organization located in Russia in which a foreign citizen temporarily resides or works (without breaking of law).
The draft law also provides that the phrase "must register" is replaced by the phrase "is subject to registration", and the registration of a foreign citizen at the place of residence in a residential building is carried out at the place of his actual residence.
