In continuation of the recently published news – on June 1, 2022 the Ministry of Internal Affairs published an information message on the procedure in which the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions of Ukraine can apply for Russian citizenship.
To the application for admission to Russian citizenship a minimum list of documents must be submitted: a passport with a mark of registration at the place of residence on the territory of the Zaporozhye or Kherson regions of Ukraine and one of the documents confirming the right to stay (residence) in Russia.
Citizens of the DPR, LPR and Ukraine who arrived in Russia on an emergency basis, including those without identity documents, will be able to establish their identity in the internal affairs authorities and receive temporary asylum within 3 days.
The identity document on the territory of Russia will be a certificate of temporary asylum. Also, with this certificate, it will be possible to get a job, receive medical care, and educate children without issuing additional documents.
