The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia recommended that foreign citizens settle their legal status by September 30, 2021; otherwise, to them it will begin to "apply administrative measures."
The authority's website reports that «on September 30, 2021, the deadline expires, according to which foreign citizens and stateless persons who arrived in Russia before March 15, 2020 and who, as of June 16, 2021, have no legal grounds for staying in Russia, as well as those who have not left the territory of Russia in connection with the resumption of transport communication with the state of which they are citizens or in which they have the right of permanent residence, can contact the divisions on migration issues».
We remind you that in accordance with the Decree of the President of Russia of June 15, 2021 N 364 "On temporary measures to regulate the legal status of foreign citizens and stateless persons in Russia during the period of overcoming the consequences of the spread of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19)" until September 30, 2021 in relation to foreign citizens and stateless persons staying on the territory, no decisions are made on administrative expulsion from Russia, on deportation or transfer to a foreign state or the undesirability of stay (residence) in Rsssia, on reducing the period of temporary stay in Russia.
