The head of the Main Directorate for Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Valentina Kazakova, said that the department proposes to introduce a single period for registering foreign citizens for migration registration in the country, while increasing it from 7 days to 30 days from the date of entry. It is believed that such a measure will help increase the attractiveness of Russia.
At the same time, the obligation to register for migration within one working day (for example, for hotels or for work on a rotational basis) will remain.
