In continuation of the news on changes in the Rules for migration registration of foreign citizens, we are reporting on preparation by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia (MIA) a draft new form of notification of a foreign citizen's arrival.
Compared to the current form of notification (Appendix 3 to the order of the MIA of Russia as of November 23, 2017 N 881), the following changes were made:
- the column “The name and details of the document confirming the right to provide a foreign citizen with premises for actual residence” has been added;
- the column "Information about the legal representatives" has been increased by one line;
- the column "Address of the former place of stay in Russia" has been increased by one line;
- a column has been added to indicate the telephone number of a foreign citizen;
- the location of the column on names and addresses of receiving party has been changed.
At the moment, this project is not accepted.
MIA of Russia in the Republic of Crimea has published an explanation in which it stated that due to changes made by the Decree of the Government of Russia as of March 7, 2019 No. 246 - before making the necessary changes to the Administrative Regulations of MIA – the data on the document confirming the right to provide a foreign citizen with premises for actual residence of a foreign citizen is necessary to indicate in the free space of the other side of notification of arrival before the words “Please fill out the form in Russian”. The receiving party is obliged to additionally attach a copy of the document confirming the right to provide a foreign citizen with premises for actual residence of foreign citizen to notification of arrival.
