Russian Ministry of internal affairs has adopted Order as of December 18, 2017 N 933 on taking a decision on the extension or reduction of the period of temporary stay of a foreign citizen in Russia.
Previously, these functions were performed by the FMS of Russia. There are no other significant changes. In this regard, the order of the FMS of Russia as of June 29, 2015, N 321 is no longer valid. This procedure does not apply to cases of prolongation of visas for foreign citizens in Russia. In the order specified the deadline for the decision of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to extend or shorten the period, the list of documents provided for change in the period. The conditions for extending the term of temporary stay of a foreign citizen are stipulated by the Federal Law "On the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation" and the Treaty on the EAEC.
