On June 28, 2018, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Russia adopted Order No. 406 on introducing changes to the procedure for taking a decision to extend or reduce term of temporary stay of a foreign citizen or stateless person in Russia, approved by Order No. 933 of MIA as of December 18, 2017.
The issues of filing an application for extension of term of temporary stay by an educational organization in which a foreign citizen is studying are regulated. The list of educational organizations submitting application is given. The application shall be submitted in an free form not later than 20 days before expiry of term of temporary stay of the foreign citizen.
