On July 17, 2019, the Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia as of March 18, 2019 No. 142 was issued, which approves the form of notification of departure of a foreign citizen from his place of stay, a list of information contained therein, requirements for its registration, the procedure for sending it to the migration registration authority, including by the form of an electronic document, the period of storage of a copy of the said notice in a multifunctional center or a federal postal organization.
This Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia will enter into force on July 28, 2019.
This procedure for notification of the departure of a foreign citizen appeared within the new regulation of removal from registration procedure adopted in the Federal Law No. 257-FZ "On Amendments to Articles 8 and 23 of Federal Law No. 109-FZ "On migration registration of foreign citizens in Russia", signed by President of Russia on July 29, 2018.
