A new draft law has been submitted to the Russian State Duma that strengthens migration regulations for foreign citizens. The amendments will affect Articles 6 and 8 of Federal Law No. 115-FZ "On the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation."
Under the proposed changes, holders of a Temporary Residence Permit (TRP) and Permanent Residence Permit (PRP) will be required to undergo a medical examination every year—just like they did when they initially received their status.
Who will be affected?

- Your TRP or PRP may be revoked.
- You may receive a deportation notice requiring you to leave Russia within 15 days.
