As it is needed to provide the individual taxpayer number (ITN) to the Department of migration issues of Ministry of Interior affairs when renewing work permits to highly qualified specialists (HQS), Confidence Group strongly recommends issuing the ITN for all HQS
Confidence Group repeatedly faced the situations when the Department of migration issues of Ministry of Interior affairs refused to accept the documents on the work permits renewal for highly qualified specialists (HQS) without providing the individual taxpayer number (ITN).
This practice is contrary to the order of interaction of the FMS (currently the Department of migration issues of Ministry of Interior affairs) and the Federal Tax Service (details are here), which operates pursuant to the Federal Law as of 7/23/2013 N 248-FZ, however, it is quite difficult to file a protest and often requires a lot of time.
For this reason, in order to avoid difficulties with the HQS work permits renewals, Confidence Group recommends access directly to the Federal Tax Service of Russia for the purpose of registration of the ITN for HQS immediately after initial registration of a work permit.
