According to this Decree, citizens of Ukraine can enter and exit Russia on the basis of the following documents (one of these):
- passport of a citizen of Ukraine;
- passport of a citizen of Ukraine for traveling abroad;
- diplomatic or service passport;
- birth certificate (for children under 16 years of age);
- passport of a citizen of Ukraine - the legal representative of a minor citizen, which contains information about the child (for the departure of a minor citizen accompanied by a legal representative);
- seafarer's identity card;
- ID card for returning to Ukraine (only for returning to Ukraine);
- certificate of an aircraft crew member.
Compared to the previously valid rules, the Decree also allows entry and exit from Russia with the listed documents, the validity of which has expired.
Russia does not introduce a visa regime with Ukraine, as has been repeatedly stated previously.
The Decree also allows to exit Russia in the absence of the specified documents, but only to states adjacent to Russia across the land border, on the basis of a copy of the conclusion on establishing the identity of a foreign citizen, issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia at the place of residence of such a citizen.
According to Dmitry Peskov, the Decree is intended to simplify the process of moving to Russia for Ukrainian citizens.
We remind you that Russian citizens will need a visa to enter Ukraine from July 1, 2022.
