The Decree of the Russian Government on the need to attract visa-based foreign workers and quotas for 2024 has been published

On December 1, 2023, the Russian Government adopted Resolution No. 1980 dated November 24, 2023 “On determining the need to attract foreign workers arriving in the Russian Federation on the basis of a visa, including for priority professional qualification groups, and approving quotas for 2024.”

The need is determined to be 155,929 people. Quotas for issuing invitations to enter Russia and issuing work permits are set at the same amount.
 
Thus, the need was increased: in 2023, the need for attracting visa foreign workers was determined to be 123,943 people.

The need to attract foreign workers is realized in accordance with the distribution into priority professional and qualification groups in accordance with the approved appendix to this Resolution of the Government of Russia.
