In February 2020, delays in obtaining permits for Japanese citizens working in Russia became more frequent. Delays were noted in paperwork at the Moscow Department of Labor and Employment and at the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Also, Japanese citizens who draw up the status of a highly qualified specialist may additionally need the approval of the regional leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, which may also affect the delay in processing documents.
We recommend that you consider these facts when issuing permits for Japanese citizens.
