In continuation of the previously published news on introduction of electronic visas since October 1, 2019 in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, we report on the results of the first month of the new visa regime in this region.
According to media reports, more than 14 thousand foreigners visited St. Petersburg on electronic visas from the beginning of October, a total of 26 thousand applications were submitted. This was announced by the head of the tourism infrastructure department of the Committee on Tourism Development of St. Petersburg Alexey Fisyak during the IX tourism forum "Open Crimea".
Foreign citizens who receive an electronic visa will be able to stay in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region for no more than 8 days.
