The Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Russia announced a "migration amnesty" for 158,000 of its citizens, who were previously banned from entering Russia.
At the same time, the granted migration amnesty does not apply to citizens of Uzbekistan who were previously deported from Russia on the basis of court decisions.
The amnesty was announced during bilateral negotiations between the First Deputy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and an adviser to the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan. In addition, earlier there was information about an amnesty for 150,000 citizens of Tajikistan.
