In accordance with the changes of the rules for submission of documents to the Multifunctional Migration Center (Sakharovo) as described in our newsletter as of June 07, 2016, we inform you that many employers faced with the cancellation of work permits for foreign citizens coming from visa countries.
It is necessary to attach the VMI policy, as well as certificates of HIV absence when submitting documents for work permits. Earlier, it was possible to represent the medical certificates at the time of obtaining a work permit.
Now, if the medical certificates are failed to be provided within 10 days from the date of submission of documents for the issue of a work permit, work permit is canceled automatically. As a result, single work invitations, as well as entry of a foreign citizen into Russia also become impossible.
In case of a refusal to issue a work permit, a permit for foreign labor hire may be used.
Thus, employers are forced to issue job invitations to allow the arriving of a foreign employee in Russia in order to receive medical certificate first, and only after that, the submission of the documents for a work permit is possible.
In a view of the above, Confidence Group is planning to launch an initiative to amend the existing procedure for the provision of medical certificates at registration of a work permit.
