On November 1, 2016, the Russian Government approved the Decree №2326-r forbidding state authorities to request certain documents from citizens, which they already have. State authorities will have to share such documents to each other automatically.
Federal executive bodies were instructed to ensure the provision of documents and information included in the list approved by the Decree of Government, for interagency requests of the executive authorities of RF subjects and local authorities in the order specified by the Federal law "On the organization of public and municipal services".
In particular, in migration area, the Ministry of Interior is responsible for the following documents and information that the Interior Ministry will be obliged to sent without further actions of foreign and Russian citizens to the state bodies requesting such documents:
- Information on the validity (invalidity) of the Russian citizen passport
- Information on the registration at the place of residence of Russian citizen
- Information on registration at the place of stay of Russian citizen
- Information on registration at the place of residence of a foreign citizens or stateless persons
- Information on registration at the place of stay of a foreign citizens or stateless persons
- Information on the issuance or the renewal of the permanent residence permit to a foreign citizen or stateless person
- Information on the issuance of a temporary residence permit to a foreign citizen or stateless person
