On November 23, 2019, the Government of the Russian Federation adopted Decree N 2793-р, establishing a quota for issuance of temporary residence permits for foreign citizens for 2020.
The quota was reduced and established in the amount of 60270 temporary residence permits (in 2019, the quota was 83480). The Government of Russia also provided for the distribution of quotas among the subjects of the Russian Federation.
- In Moscow, the quota amount 2000 (in 2019, the quota was 2000).
- In the Moscow Region, the quota amount 4000 (in 2019, the quota was 4000).
- In St. Petersburg, the quota amount 1500 (in 2019, the quota was 1500).
- In the Leningrad Region, the quota amount 300 (in 2019, the quota was 400).
