On June 17, 2019 the President of Russia signed the Federal Law “On amendments to the Federal Law “On the legal status of foreign citizens in Russia” regarding the organization of professional skill championships”.
This law assumes that foreign participants of WorldSkills will not need a work permit or patent. Invitations to enter Russia will be issued without a quota approved by the government of Russia. Obtaining foreign labor hire permits is not required.
The world championship on professional skills according to the standards of WorldSkills will be held in Kazan from 22 to 27 August 2019.
