According to the published document, all citizens of Ukraine residing throughout Ukraine can now obtain Russian citizenship in a simplified manner.
A simplified procedure for obtaining citizenship means that an application for citizenship can be submitted bypassing the TRP and permanent residence permit, and for this it is not necessary to live in the country for 5 years.
Changes have also been made to Decree No. 187 of April 24. Application for citizenship now can be acquired even without registration on the territory of Russia, applying to the authorities at the place of temporary stay, having only a passport and migration card in hand.
Also, the published document clarifies that the basis for rejecting an application for admission to the citizenship of Russia of persons in the military service, security agencies or law enforcement agencies of the DPR and LPR cannot be the presence of such persons in military service in the moment.
We also remind you that from May 5, 2022, the forms of applications for admission to the citizenship of Russia in a simplified procedure have changed.
