Russia suspends agreement with Hungary on visa-free travel

On February 2, 2023, Order of the Russian Government No. 492-r dated March 1, 2023 "On Suspension of the Agreement between the Russian Government and the Government of Hungary on Visa-Free Travel with Diplomatic and Service Passports in Part Relating to Hungarian Citizens Holding Diplomatic Passports" was published.

The agreement was suspended by Russia unilaterally on the basis of Art. 36 of the Federal Law "On International Treaties of the Russian Federation" in relation to Hungarian citizens who have diplomatic passports.

A corresponding notification will be sent to the Hungarian side.
