On February 17, 2019, the Agreement between the Government of Russia and the Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on the mutual abolition of visa requirements for citizens of Russia and citizens of the UAE entered into force. This agreement was signed on July 6, 2018 in Kazan.
In accordance with the Agreement, citizens of Russia and citizens of the UAE who are owners of all types of valid passports who do not have the intention to work, study or live in the territory of another state are exempted from visa requirements and have the right to enter, stay or transit through the territory of another state without visas for up to 90 days during each 180-day period.
