There are 33 countries in Latin America, 27 of which already have a visa-free regime. There are plans to establish it with the remaining six countries - Barbados, Haiti, Bahamas, Mexico, Saint Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago.
In January 2023, Mexico confirmed its readiness to introduce a visa-free regime for Russian citizens. And in April, the Republic’s Ambassador to Russia, Eduardo Villegas Mejias, announced the country’s readiness to introduce cards of the Mir payment system.
We also remind you that Russia is currently negotiating the introduction of a visa-free regime with 11 countries, including a number of Latin American countries (more details in our news).
