Russia plans to sign migration agreements with Central Asian countries

According to Altynai Omurbekova, Director of the Department for Labor Migration, together with social protection of the Eurasian Economic Commission, the countries of Central Asia - Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan are preparing draft intergovernmental agreements regulating the sphere of migration with Russia, Kommersant reports.

The exact date of signing is still unknown and the text is not available, according to Omurbekova, they are at different stages of coordination in different departments.

The main purpose of these agreements will be to provide "pre-departure training" for labor migrants. Future migrants will receive information about legal requirements, and cultural adaptation will also be carried out.
