According to the decree approved by the Government of Russia of August 25, 2021 No. 1412, the period of stay in Russia on a multiple-entry visa for close relatives of citizens has been increased to one year.
In this case, close relatives are:
- spouse;
- parents (adoptive parents);
- children (established);
- spouses of children;
- full and half-blood brothers and sisters;
- grandfathers;
- grandmothers;
- grandchildren.
Previously, there was a restriction, according to which the total period of stay of foreigners in Russia on a multiple-entry visa should not exceed 90 days within each period of 180 days.
In addition, foreigners entering Russia for treatment purposes and their accompanying persons will also be issued a business visa for up to one year.
All these changes were made in accordance with the amendments adopted in July to the law on the procedure for leaving and entering Russia. More details here.
