On September 11, 2021, the decree of the Government of the Russia of August 31, 2021 No. 1452 entered into force. Now, instead of a single-entry or double-entry ordinary tourist visa for a period of one month, the following visas will be issued:
- single-entry or double-entry ordinary tourist visa for up to 3 months;
- multiple-entry ordinary tourist visa for up to 6 months.
We present to your attention a table showing the differences between these visas:

Consular fees | Depends on the country where the embassy / consulate is located (on the rate coefficient) and on the duration of the visa application. Consular fees for multiple entry visa are higher than for single-entry visa or double-entry visa. You can get acquainted with them here. |
Package of documents | - valid international passport;
- a completed application form with one photograph of the established sample;
- receipt for payment of consular fees;
- health insurance policy (when applying for a multiple-entry visa, the health insurance policy must cover the period of the first entry of a foreign tourist);
- confirmation of the admission of a foreign citizen by an organization, information about which is contained in the unified federal register of tour operators or confirmation of a hotel reservation;
- a document entitling a foreign citizen to stay in the country continuously for more than 90 days, if this foreign citizen applies for a visa not in the state of his citizenship;
- (if necessary) travel documents with confirmed dates of entry and exit from Russia.
