Due to the ongoing spread of COVID-19, the Hungarian Government has decided to halve the validity of vaccination certificates for its citizens from February 15, 2022, from 12 months to 6 months.
As a rule, the requirements for the validity of vaccination certificates for citizens also apply to tourists entering the country. For example, a trip to Greece or Cyprus now requires a certificate no older than 9 months.
In this connection, it can be assumed that Russians who plan their trip to Hungary after February 15, 2022 should check the validity of their certificate in advance and, if more than 6 months have passed since the last vaccination, take a PCR test.
