The Order of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia dated 05.04.2022 N 5149 "On Amending Paragraph 31 of the List of Travel Purposes Used in the Registration and Issuance of Visas to Foreign Citizens, approved by the Order of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia dated December 21, 2020 No. 23235" was published on May 17, 2022.
The main essence of the changes is the fact that foreign citizens who will study in professional or higher educational organizations that are part of the structure of not only the Ministry of Defense of Russia, the FSB of Russia, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, the Federal Customs Service of Russia, but also the Federal Security Guard Service of Russia (FSO) will be able to obtain an ordinary study visa for the purpose of the trip – "Specialization".
Otherwise, the List of travel purposes used for issuing visas to foreign citizens remains unchanged.
