The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia signed Order No. 805 dated 02.11.2021 "On approval of patent forms issued to foreign citizens or stateless persons who arrived in Russia in a manner that does not require a visa, and lists of information contained in these patents."
This order approves a new form of patents. Now, if possible, it will be issued with an electronic chip. This chip will contain the following information:
- Full name;
- Photo;
- Date and place of birth of the foreign citizen;
- Citizenship;
- Number of the identity document and its validity period;
- INN (if applicable);
- Profession (if applicable).
This order entered into force, like many other changes, on December 29, 2021.
Please note that those foreign citizens who have already been received a patent do NOT need to apply to replace it. It will be valid until the end of its validity period.
