The document proposes to supplement the section of the Regulation on an ordinary private visa. Such a visa will be issued for up to one year to a foreigner who is a close relative of a Russian citizen, including a spouse, parent, child, brother/sister or grandfather/grandmother.
The amendments are being made in order to implement the law on combating fictitious marriages of migrants, published on October 28, 2024 (more details about the law in our news).
The law will enter into force 90 days after its official publication, i.e. January 25, 2025.
Public discussion of the amendments to the Visa Regulations will last until December 3.
The amendments are expected to enter into force simultaneously with the law, i.e. January 25, 2025.
