On April 22, 2019, the Federation Council approved a bill on visa-free entry of foreign fans into Russia for the 2020 European Football Championship.
It is envisaged to enter the ticket holders for Euro-2020 matches without issuing visas with valid documents (and with a personalized Fan ID card) identifying the identity and UEFA volunteers entering based on ordinary humanitarian visas.
In the framework of the European Football Championship 2020, four matches are planned to be held in St. Petersburg.
