Also, the law introduces many other changes regarding foreign citizens in Russia - in particular, citizens of the DPR, LPR, Kazakhstan, Moldova or Ukraine can now apply for a permanent residence permit without obtaining the temporary residence permit before that, and citizens of the DPR, LPR and Ukraine are exempted from the obligation to confirm their knowledge of the Russian language; the period of temporary stay of underage children of foreign citizens is extended - they will be able to stay in Russia as long as their parents; the concept of “temporary residence permit for the purpose of education” is introduced and the conditions for obtaining it are established; as well as other changes.
